Woodford Equine Hospital offers several outstanding programs to help students and graduates fulfill opportunities to attain proficiency and skill.

INTERNSHIP: First year veterinarians will have the chance to polish their analytical skills, applied skills and management skills during their one year with us. This provides a unique advantage in this competitive industry. With rotations through the various clinical and surgical areas, interns are challenged to perform but supported with years of veterinary experience. Interns must have completed an externship at a reputable equine facility - preferably here. Internship starts in July, post graduation.

EXTERNSHIP: As eager students, our Externs have the chance to expand their overall knowledge in different aspects of our hospital. With our hands on approach most of our externs appreciate the chance to test their new skills. Externships are available year round.

Please include a Letter of Intent (state the dates you are interested in) and your Resume with References. Please give as much notice as necessary to avoid disappointment. A minimum of one week and a maximum of one month is recommended for most externships. Limited housing is available for externs at the hospital. If these accommodations are not available, housing would be the responsibility of the extern.
